So I kind of ended up here because as an exercise physiologist I wanted to prescribe yoga (like, the modern day studio-based kind of yoga where they play Drake...) to my patients, but finding any solid research on yoga is hard.
Anything I found was of yoga that sounded VERY different from my experience with yoga, or it was insanely vague that I had no idea what about it was effective... I wanted to know about modern postural yoga, the kind that makes you sweat profusely, that teaches Eastern lessons in modern ways and is informed by science (I caught my yoga teacher teaching people about DIMS and SIMS the other day!). But nada. So here we are...
